Third Edition. Twelve pages of folded creped paper for a total of 24 pages (front and back cover included in the count), numerous colour woodblock illus. The illustrations for this book were produced by Suzuki Kason. Illustrated front cover and illustrated colophon inside the back cover, 21 numbered pages. The inside back cover continues the story and contains the colophon but is not numbered. This work outlines early Buddhist origins in India. This is a companion book to Nirvana, A Story of Buddhist Philosophy by the same author. [A fairly good copy, minor wear with a little minor loss at lower margin of the cover].
